View solution in original post. I cured it for me I guess this is the email account I assoicatiated with my new phone setup that will never die. What a PITA. Also, I want to say Peace Out. I think: go back to the store is not much of a solution, but I finally did go to the official Samsung repair service bc I couldn't find a solution anywhere.
My phone has a small crack in the backplate and is under warranty. I'm a software developer and I explained to them that clearly this was a software issue.
But they said "we may have to take it apart and you don't want it returned more broken than it already is". I know a scam when I see it. Shameful predatory behaviour by samsung. I contacted Samsung service afte this to complain and they said they would get back to me. That's a month ago now. Busy sending faulty updates and scamming consumers?

Anyways, the problem is that my phone has 2 SIM cards on it. The first one works perfectly fine. Due to this my data connection does not work. I tried the recovery area and wiped my cache partion. It gave me that message. But after the software update to 7.Had the same experience, with the phone hanging on bootup and the same message in the recovery screen.

The Future changes shape! Meet the new Samsung smartphone! Hi Everyone, My phone asked for update then after update was complete it got turned on and it booted up to the encryption lock screen where it says to start up your device, enter your pin.
So I enter my pin and then its says, "verified" and then "starting android". At first, I let the phone sit to see if it would do anything but after an hour, I figured something is wrong. I dont know why this happened. I don't want to have to factory reset and lose all my pictures and data.

So I believe it's nothin to do with Samsung. Android is made by Google and given to carriers EE, Vodafone, O2 who then play with it, add things to make it their own, test it and when they're happyy with it release it to us to install.
As this seems to be affecting people with different carriers i'm o2, you're EE this might be an android issue google not samsung. In any case Nothing was working, so i tried the option to factory reset it knowing i'd lose everything on my phonei knew that i didn't have much to lose as i've recently backed everything up to my laptop so only had a few bits to lose. This reset still didnt make it work. It only came to life after i plugged it in, went back to boot menu and chose to power it off.
By signing back to samsung and google on the phone, it brought back my texts, contacts, bookmarks etc, but only back to mid March, last time it did some backup it did it itself.
Question is what have you got on it that you'll lose and what has it automatically backed up without your knowledge to google and samsung cuz it does backups automatically most likely.

I have been able to get to Download Mode twice but don't know what to do there, other than Vol Down to reboot which only goes back to Recovery Mode. I don't remember ever turning on USB debugging as this is a complete stock device.
I've tried contacting Samsung Help Chat in my country and was told that my month old tablet is out of warranty, to take it to an authorized dealer of which there isn't even one in my city.
